Changes in Technology and the Queen

Her Majesty's a pretty nice girl,
but she doesn't have a lot to say
Her Majesty's a pretty nice girl
but she changes from day to day

I want to tell her that I love her a lot
But I gotta get a belly full of wine
Her Majesty's a pretty nice girl
Someday I'm going to make her mine, oh yeah,
Someday I'm going to make her mine.

Saturday and the Bountiful Ridge Golf Course

Since my kid brother Jeremy couldn't drive to Twin Falls on Saturday to go cliff diving with us, Junior and I drove down to Bountiful Utah to play the Bountiful Ridge Golf Course. Bountiful Ridge sits high up on the hill in Bountiful with spectacular panoramic views of the area. This course was featured in the Microsoft video golf game "Links" and having played that many times I was happy to play the course in real life. Joining us was my old friend, Matt Elliott.

I was surprised at the beauty of the course. Equally I was surprised at how difficult the course played as every shot (other than tee shots) seemed to be either uphill, downhill or sidehill. I ended up shooting an 84 but it felt like 100.

I can see it now...."Ladies and Gentlemen: THE SVEN-ERICS!"

Finding a demographic that I could "speak to" through my music was difficult.

Not anymore.

I've been signed by Tyfon on the Hagstrom label (whoopee!) and me and the rest of the Sven-Eric's are going to sweep this planet with our unique style of music and dance choreography!

Things I'd never buy, but perhaps secretly try out.

Nothing says, "RELAX" like reading a good book, sitting on the couch, wearing my yard sale hat, with my dog arrow and I wearing Snuggies! "Ahhhhhhhhh."

The Snake River and my good son Brent

My son Brent and I had the good fortune to go fishing yesterday.
Every year I fish with Matt Elliott and his brother Adam down in Owyhee County in southwestern Idaho on the Snake River. Matt is my oldest friend. We have been friends since we discovered that in 7th grade we had every single class together. Using Adam's boat we travel miles down the river to our secret fishing holes and catch tons of smallmouth bass. We've done it every year and every year we catch tons of fish. This year Brent came with us and we had a great time!
