The Burien Master Headend of The United States of America

Ahhhhhhh, The Burien headend. Look closely and you'll see the downlink facility that I worked at for 8 years (look for all the satellite dishes). The Burien headend was a great place to work and nearly all of the memories were great. Thanks to all who worked there: Cody, Larry, Matt, Sam, Scott, Mark and Shhhhtteeeeeve!

This is Not Mark Anderson (But his daughter is a Coug)

Here's my new headend partner. His name is Cliff Stern. Cliff used to be with Comcast in Spokane, Washington (the right side of the state) but he decided to leave them and join Cox. Cliff is a fine human being (except for that one thing) and has done a nice job showing me around the Sun Valley headend.

This is taken from atop our headend facility.

A portion of Sun Valley ski area can be seen behind the dishes.

Anyone ever been to Sun Valley?

An Excellent Reason To Leave Arizona

What in the heck is this thing?
Things like this show up at your house all the time in AZ.
My children would freak
and my wife would smile wildly say, "oooh look at that!!!"

Have a Merry Mullet Christmas

Ruthie found this picture today, hidden in an old box.
It is great to see our children and their sweet innocent faces.
Ruthie is beautiful and hasn't changed much.
But, who's the guy in the mullet??

What in the world?

This picture could (and will) win blue ribbons at state fairs all over this great country. It is one of my favorite pictures ever. Who is it and who took it?

Tucson to Sun Valley

Friday, I jumped in the car and began my long drive from Tucson, Arizona to Sun Valley, Idaho. It was tough to leave the old house in Tucson. In six months we put average wear and tear on the house. We probably won't get our rent deposit back.

I arrived in Sun Valley Sunday afternoon. There is an extreme contrast between the two places.
